| Upon arrival at Angel Horse Rescue, each horse’s immediate physical needs are addressed. Over the course of the next few months, each horse is evaluated to determine its level of training, abilities and any physical or mental limitations. Some horses, as a result of severe neglect or abuse, may take several months or even longer to achieve a healthy weight and/or basic skills (halter training and minimum ground manners) which are required prior to being eligible for adoption. Other horses are considered unadoptable due to extensive medical needs, behavioral problems or advanced age and will remain at the rescue for the rest of their lives. During their time at the rescue, each horse is in need of financial sponsors to help offset the costs of veterinary treatment and daily care. |

AHR’s sponsorship program allows a donor to specify a particular horse that they would like their donation to
benefit. AHR also has a HORSE ANGEL Program where ongoing monthly sponsorships are available for long term equine residents of the rescue.
Under the Horse Angel monthly program, a donor will receive periodic updates and photos of the sponsored horse for as long
as their sponsorship continues and may schedule visits with their sponsored horses by appointment.
If you would like your donation to benefit a particular horse, please be sure to include that horse’s name with your donation. To become a monthly sponsor, simply print and fill out the sponsorship form and include it with your first monthly donation and AHR will use those funds towards the care of that horse.
