| April 2006: Walter arrived at the
rescue after being purchased at auction by a volunteer to stop him from
going to slaughter. Walter is slightly underweight, but healthy.
He is halter broke but just a little on
the spirited side, most likely due to the fact that he is still a
stud. He will be gelded prior to being available for adoption. June 2006: Walter has settled in and is beginning his training under saddle. He is learning quickly and accepts a saddle with no resistance. He has displayed a willing and level headed disposition and we believe he will make someone an exceptional riding horse with additional training. August 2006: Walter has been adopted, gelded and has a new name - Walker! He is being trained by his new owners to be a riding horse, and is currently keeping Rebel company in their new home. |
