Little Joe was a weanling when he arrived at the rescue. He was unhandled, infested with ticks and contracted strangles from the auction he had been sold through. He and Annie became fast pals and with time, ivermectin wormer, lots of tick picking and TLC, Little Joe has blossomed into a handsome, mischievous little fellow.November 2005: Little Joe has been gelded and will be available for adoption after he recovers fully. He is now halter broke and quite the little pest. He enjoys spending his days teasing the other geldings into wrestling and chasing him with the endless energy of youth.
December 2005: Little Joe has been adopted! He will be going to his new home in just a few months once the fences and facilities are completed there.
April 2007: He's Baaaa-aaack! Little Joe has returned to the rescue due to a change in his adopter's situation. He is now a strapping 3 year old and needs a job! He is at the perfect age to seriously begin his training under saddle and what a gorgeous floating trot he has!
July 2007: Joe has been transferred to our new 64 acre facility and is enjoying life galloping around his new spacious pasture. He is a beautiful boy and ready for his forever home. Joe is approximately 14 hands tall and would be an ideal size for a child or smaller adult.
June 2008 Joe has found his new forever home! He will be enjoying a lifetime of spoiling along with his training to be a pleasure riding horse.
