JULY 2009 Groovy Native, barn name "Groovy", is a Thoroughbred gelding that started his career as a racehorse. Once his racing career was over, he became a winning hunter/jumper. Due to joint issues resulting from his age and history of racing and jumping, Groovy was brought to the rescue to enjoy a well deserved retirement. He is a very sweet, friendly boy and we are considering him as a candidate for a future program involving the rescue horses and our veterans helping one another. Right now, Groovy is enjoying his time off just being a horse and hanging out in the large 50 acre pasture with his new best girlfriend, Fast and Fatal.
