JULY 2009 Groovy Native, barn name "Groovy", is a Thoroughbred gelding that started his career as a racehorse. Once his racing career was over, he became a winning hunter/jumper. Due to joint issues resulting from his age and history of racing and jumping, Groovy was brought to the rescue to enjoy a well deserved retirement. He is a very sweet, friendly boy and we are considering him as a candidate for a future program involving the rescue horses and our veterans helping one another. Right now, Groovy is enjoying his time off just being a horse and hanging out in the large 50 acre pasture with his new best girlfriend, Fast and Fatal.
AUGUST 2011 Groovy is continuing to enjoy the rest and relaxation of retirement. He spends his days quietly grazing the rolling 50 acre pasture with the main herd.
