October 2005 Blue arrived at the rescue as a weanling.  He is halter broke and fairly well behaved.  He has become buddies with Chance and Roscoe and the three of them are inseparable.  They are referred to as the "three amigos" here at the rescue. Blue is still a little stud colt and will be required to be gelded at 18 months if adopted before then.

March 2006 Blue has been adopted!  He and Little Joe have been adopted together.

April 2007 Blue is back from his adoptive home.  His previous adopter was unable to continue to care for him and so he has come back to us.  He is healthy and sound, however he had not yet been gelded so we called our vet out and had that little detail taken care of in short order.  He will need a couple of weeks for total recovery and then he will be available for adoption again.

 

July 2007  Blue has completely recovered from his gelding and is ready for a new home!  He has grown into a tall, handsome boy and with training he will make a wonderful, flashy riding horse.  He will be moving to our new 64 acre facility this month.  He is available for adoption to a home with experience in gentle training methods, otherwise we will begin training him under saddle next spring here at the rescue.

September 2007 Blue has been adopted!  He arrived safe and sound at his new home on September 22 and his new family describes him as "a little gentleman".  

March 2008  Through no fault of his own, our little boy Blue is back again!  His adopter has developed severe health issues and can no longer physically provide adequate care for a horse. For Blue's sake, his adopter has given him back to the rescue to find a new home.  Blue has lost a little weight, but is otherwise healthy and we expect him to quickly recover.  Blue is once again looking for a permanent home.  

April 2008  Blue has been adopted!  He has begun his training and is doing well. He will become the trusty mount and best buddy of a 12 year old girl in his new home.
