SEPTEMBER 2010    Tucker arrived at the rescue after he was found wandering loose in Delaware County.  He is very thin and is lame on his left front foot due to founder.  Once the authorities tracked down his owners, they said they could not afford to feed or care for him and surrendered him.  We have had our farrier out to look at Tucker's hoof, which is deformed and painful.  He advised that any trimming at this time would only increase Tucker's discomfort and we should wait until he is in better shape.
